Privacy
Sandglass is built to hold as little about you as possible.
What stays on your device
As a guest, your tasks, sessions, settings, photos and notes live in your browser only. The only things that leave your device are the anonymous visit counts below any feedback you choose to send (your message, the name you type, the app version and language), and your email if you join the Plus waitlist — used once, to tell you when Plus launches, and never shared. Clearing site data removes the rest.
What is stored if you sign in
Your email address, your tasks, your focus sessions and your settings, so they can follow you between devices. Photos, notes, countdowns, exams, reminders and water/exercise logs stay on the device you made them on. They are stored with Supabase and protected so that only your account can read them.
What we measure
Anonymous, cookieless counts of page visits and four actions — finishing onboarding, finishing a focus session, and sharing or downloading a card — so we know which parts are worth improving. No identifiers, no profiles, nothing that can be traced back to you. It is handled by Umami, a privacy-first analytics service, and never leaves that.
What we never do
No ads, no ad tracking, no selling or sharing data with advertisers, no cookies beyond the one that keeps you signed in. Prayer times are calculated on your device from the city you choose; your location is never uploaded.
Your control
You can export everything as JSON or delete it from the settings screen at any time.
